The YouTuber from China, whose channel name is Tech Aesthetics, published a video yesterday that took over the internet because he built a foldable iPhone by using custom parts from other smartphones.

You can also watch this video below. Besides, it is getting popular in the community as its building process took over a year of hard work from the developer and his team.

And what makes it more special is its creation as its foldable chassis is created from a Motorola Razr, and the other design and other internals are done with iPhone X.

The outcome smartphone is named iPhone V by its creator because it can be folded in V-shape like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series, but it is not flexible like this.

While they were experimenting with making its display foldable, they used 37 iPhone X screens before finding the final one, and finally, they went with flexible OLED. And its other specifications are the same as iPhone X.

Besides hardware details, this iPhone V runs on iOS, and to make its screen responsive to split-screen action, they have used jailbroken mods.

Separately, a week ago, Samsung also targeted Apple in its ad as it is rumored to launch a foldable iPhone for the years, but we haven’t seen it yet.

Also, Apple will reportedly not unveil a foldable smartphone, as Mark Gurman’s recently noted Apple is working on a foldable iPad which would arrive in 2025.
