GTA 6 May Be Available For Pre-Order In December 2023
While rumors and reports suggest that GTA 6 might see a 2024 or 2025 release, Rockstar Games has remained tight-lipped about the release date. The last update that the creator of the GTA series gave on GTA 6 was on February 4, 2022. Besides this confirmation, no information has been revealed from the game’s creator yet.
Recently, Rockstar Universe, a well-known website dedicated to Rockstar Games, shared a screenshot of a conversation on X (formerly Twitter) between a GTA fan and Argos Helpers (@ArgosHelpers).
The message by a chat support agent named Allan reveals the pre-order start date for GTA 6 as December 12, 2023, for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. It also states that the distributors of the game confirmed the pre-order date of the upcoming GTA title.
“I have been informed the software Grand Theft Auto VI for the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 will be available to pre-order on December 12, 2023, confirmed to us by the distributors,” the post stated.

When Rockstar Universe contacted Argos Support, the support agent revealed that GTA 6 would be “available for pre-booking” once Rockstar Games discloses the official release date.
While there is no clarity if the circulating screenshot is authentic or a mere wild guess, Rockstar Games has only confirmed the release of its first trailer slated for early December. The GTA creator has yet to officially announce the game’s release date.
