iOS 17, the upcoming update for the iPhones, has already been confirmed by Apple and according to the latest information, it won’t be as exciting as iOS 16 because it is getting fewer major updates than expected.

As we all know, Apple introduces a new software update every year for all its current products, and the most awaited for all time is the update for iOS, but this year’s update doesn’t seem to go well. Let’s discuss the reason below.

iOS 17 Might Not Have Many Changes As iOS 16

iOS 17 Reportedly To Have Less Major Changes

According to the latest Power On newsletter from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple has already started working on iOS 17 update’s major changes, and it is in progress with the codename of Dawn.

With all that, Gurman also noted that iOS 17 would not have many new updates as iOS 16, and it is getting fewer major changes than originally planned by Apple for it.

And further, Gurman also mentioned why Apple is going to do that because the company wants to focus more on its upcoming product’s software, which is xrOS.

As of now, we all know Apple is working on AR/VR headset or so-called Mixed Reality headset, whose operating system’s trademarks were spotted online that also revealed its name, xrOS.

Currently, there is not much information available regarding xrOS, but it is said to arrive with multiple advanced features for a headset as Apple is rumored to plan a different App Store for it.

In conclusion, iOS 17 is going to lose out on some updates which were already planned for it, and that doesn’t mean the loss of any important change from the update.

Still, many details regarding the iOS 17 are yet to come out and be unveiled officially, so we can’t clarify which changes will be removed from this upcoming update. When some new leak comes out regarding it, we will let you know.
